Illuminated Manuscripts

I've been lucky enough to inherit an art business spanning some 300 years. My forebears certainly knew how to do it properly, and left many samples for me to emulate.

I took over the reins in January 2009 and now produce manuscripts for civic bodies and institutions around the UK. The scrolls I produce today are mostly Victorian in style, but occasionally I'm asked to produce something modern or Medieval.

Each piece is individually designed to include illumination and heraldry. I usually work onto calfskin vellum, but can also paint onto goatskin, parchment, or art paper.
