Good design is the backbone of written communication, from illuminated manuscripts to corporate brochures.
I've spent many years working as an art director, and was joint creative director of my own firm, Accomplice Design Consultants. In 2005, I decided that a change was as good as a rest and left Accomplice in the capable hands of my partner-in-crime.
After setting up Melanie Davies Calligraphy, the mainstay of my work has been calligraphic by nature. However, I like to keep my hand in, and continue to undertake the occasional design-based commission.
